Top 3 Takeaways From CV TransForum Fall '17

November 7, 2017

Moving Analytics recently attended MedAxiom Transforum ‘17 to catch up with CV healthcare leaders from across the country. Here are our top 3 takeaways!

#1 - Administrators Discussed Strategies to Quickly Shift from Volume to Value-based Care
As the healthcare industry shifts to value-based care, administrators are looking for the most efficient strategies to quickly transform CV programs from volume-to-value. Presentations included successful data strategies for value-based care and case studies with increased investment in data analytics.

#2 - Administrators Discussed Patient-centered Approaches
Hospital leaders, in line with value-based care, want to improve the patient experience in CV service lines. Attendees learned about efforts to increase contact between patients and clinical/administrative directors and standardizing patient-facing areas of the facility for a better patient experience.

#3 - MACRA/MIPS and Preparing for 2018
Proposed rule changes for the Quality Payment Program (QPP) are coming in 2018. Attendees were provided examples of how programs will be affected, discussed the new payment program and expanded exemptions of physicians from mandatory participation. Presenters worked with attendees to gain a better working knowledge of downstream financial implications and the consequence of their decisions.
